Time with G-Daddy

Sunday I went to my parents bright and early to work for my Mom. While I was eating breakfast Dad took Carly and vanished. I went to find them and here is what they were up to.....
Exploring the backyard. They checked out the bird bath and feeders

4 Months Old!

I am only about two weeks behind on this post!

Here are Carly's stats from her 4 month checkup:

Height- 25 in (80%)

Weight- 13 lbs 8 oz (50%)

Head: 43.2 (96%)

Carly is growing so fast! It seems like yesterday I was big and pregnant dreaming about what my little girl would look like. Now, 4 months have gone by. She is absolutely the best thing that has ever happened to me. I cannot even remember what life was like before her- because life is so much better now that she is here!

Here are some interesting things to share:
  • Carly is so much more playful! She loves playing with toys now. Her current favorite is Tad- her leapfrog she got from my parents for Halloween. All of the kids at her sitter's house love Tad too! So much that Honey (her sitter) is going to buy one for her playroom. Tad also plays night time music which puts her to sleep at night. Mommy loves Tad too :)
  • Carly has been smiling and cooing/laughing for awhile now, but over the weekend we got a good chuckle! David makes "tooting" noises at her and she grins. I was trying to show my Mom how she does it but this time she laughed out loud. It was probably the cutest thing I have ever seen.
  • Carly HATES socks. When it was Summer- no big deal. People would tell me to put socks on her and I would smile and then politely tell them she had socks on but she took them off. But now that it is cold outside- it is a never ending battle to keep socks on her feet!
  • She can now roll from her stomach to her back. She is still working on rolling from back to stomach but she is so close! She LOVES to sit up. Mommy holds her up and she will be sitting up by herself very soon!
  • She is now eating cereal and loving it.
  • Her baby babble has really increased. She seems to babble all of the time now. When I talk back to her she smiles and laughs. I can already tell she will be a talker like her Momma!
  • Carly has always been really attached to me but here lately she is getting attached to Daddy too. When she sees him while someone else is holding her, she whines at him and leans toward him. They love to watch TV together and Daddy makes her laugh with his sound effects and crazy dances.
  • She LOVES kisses. When she wants kisses she opens her mouth really wide and be prepared for slobber!!
  • Speaking of slobber- our doctor told us that she tries to convince every parent that their baby is not teething at four months old. Then she looked at Carly's mouth and said "but your baby is!"
  • We are now wearing 3-6 months clothes. They are really baggy but already too short in the length. Sweet baby is going to be tall like her Daddy! She is wearing a size 2 shoe. She could probably wear a size one but they would be a little cramped.
Life could not be any sweeter!

Sick of this bow Mommy!

Kisses from Mommy :)

It's Cereal Time!

Last week we went to Carly's 4 month check-up. I will post about that later. But we were excited to find out that Carly can now have rice cereal. This video is kind of long, but it really is cute! Carly LOVES her cereal. This was the first night she had it and Mommy made it a little too runny but she really enjoyed it~! Ignore the OBNOXIOUS noise in the background (the TV or David's laughing)

Happy Halloween

Carly's 1st Halloween was so much fun! At the pumpkin patch on Friday we bought her a little pumpkin. On Sunday Carly and I decorated her pumpkin (Ok I did the work while she watched and played on her activity mat)

Later that afternoon we got Carly and Jackson in their costumes and took some pictures. I think Carly was really interested in what Jackson had on his head! She would just stare at him. Then we headed to our parents houses to show off the cutest lil' ghost and pick up Carly's goodies! My parents got her a leap frog that sings and David's parents got her a bag of suckers and a set of play keys. We let her play with the keys last night and she held them for about 20 minutes. We put a dum-dum in her mouth and she made a really weird face and then spit out all her slobber. It was pretty funny. We went to a few houses with Davids sister and nieces and then headed to my parents for dinner. By the time we got there- she was out!
