The Dog who hated snow...
We put his rain coat on to see if it made a difference, but NO- he made a beeline for the house! After I finally pushed him out in the snow he ran in and I felt bad for him so he got a nice blow-dry. Spoiled Dog!
Snow Day
While some people enjoyed a nice day off at home by the fire or playing in the snow, I sat at my desk and watched from the window!

Week 17 Update
Well our doctors appointment did not go as planned yesterday, but we have a healthy baby so far so we're happy! The doctor had trouble finding my ovaries but said it was a good sign that the cyst was almost gone. The baby is continuing to grow and the heartbeat was good. She also said the baby had a lot of umbilical cord- which may make it hard to determine the sex, but the specialist that I go to that will check for abnormalities has a state-of-the-art machine so we should be able to see it a lot better. Hopefully our sweetheart will uncross those legs and make it easier on us! My blood pressure was GREAT, but I need to keep monitoring it to make sure I have no more episodes. Thank God my nurse at school takes care of me when I need her! According to the doctor I am still one pound down from my weight at the first appointment. David asked her to double check that because he did not believe her! As she explained to him- with the amount of morning sickness I had I lost quite a bit and now I am gaining it back- just not all of it yet! The nurse commented that I am ALL belly- and that I am! I tried to paint my toenails Monday night and David found it quite entertaining. I won't be trying that again. I can still wear most of my regular pants- just lower on my waist. I have a few maternity things because they are so much more comfortable!
My appointment with the specialist is on the 17th and my next appointment with Dr. Wagman is the 24th.
Here is what parents.com says are baby is up to:
Your baby is growing stronger by the day. You can feel that for yourself as those first timid flutters become more pronounced pokes from her busy little feet and hands. She can touch her own face, and she may be looking for her thumb to suck.
Your baby is now about 5 inches long -- that's not quite as long as a ballpoint pen -- and her body systems are in good working order. Her circulatory system and urinary tract are functioning, and she is inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid as she learns to breathe.
Pink nipples are forming on her chest, and your baby has mammary glands even if she's a he. If your baby is a girl, her ovaries are busy developing tiny follicles. She will have 6 million eggs or so at this point in your pregnancy, but that number will fall to about 1 million by the time she is born.
If you could see your baby, she'd look long and lanky, with legs not much bigger around than your thumb. Soon she'll start developing a layer of fat that will keep her warm after birth. In fact, a newborn weighing about 8 pounds at birth will have more than 5 pounds of fat on her body.
