3 Months Old!

Wow! I am really behind on this post. Well I have been a little busy lately :0

Carly now weighs 12 lbs 15.5 oz. She is getting so long and growing so fast. She is really vocal now. She coos and screams often. She is such a good baby. She only fusses when she is sleepy or hungry. She sleeps through the night. We are so blessed and thankful for her. She truly makes me smile and melts my heart every day. Here are some pictures of her at 3 months! Notice she is not that cooperative anymore!

Carly's Baby

Lately I have noticed that Carly is entering the stage of wanting to be entertained. She LOVES when I play this Elmo video on youtube. She giggles and coos at the computer.

The other night she was fussing while I was folding clothes. I was ALMOST done and was trying to keep her entertained by singing and talking to her. I thought to myself "maybe its time to try some toys." So I got out her babies. She has two- one that is really small and says "I LOVE YOU" when you squeeze it and one that is a Carter's "My First Baby"

The tiny one scared her when it talked so we went with the Carter's baby. It rattles and she smiles at it. I put it in her arms and she held on to it for hours. Later that night when we were putting her to bed I gave her the baby and she actually slept with it for awhile. My baby girl loves her baby!

2 Months Old!!

Well Carly is now two months old! Can you believe it? Time is going by so fast and my little princess is getting big!

Her stats:

- 23 1/4 inches long (80%) up from 50% at 1 month

- 11 lbs 2.5 oz (55%) up from 25% at 1 month

- Her head circumference is 40.5 (45%) down from 75 at 1 month

What has she been up to?

- She is sleeping through the night YIPEE!!!!!

- She likes her swing now which is a big help to Mommy

- She REALLY likes her Daddy now. She looks at him when he is talking to her. He takes her on adventures around the house and in the yard. Her favorite thing to do is watch TV with him!

- She still LOVES being outside.

- She smiles all the time and is cooing more and more.

- She LOVES her "animal babies" - her mobile with colored projection on it. She coos at them and cries when they turn off.

- She loves looking at herself in the mirror. We put one in the car and I LOVE looking at her in it too :)

- She loves being sung to. Unfortunately for her- I can't sing well, but she doesn't seem to mind.

The last ten weeks have been the best time of my life. I will cherish theses weeks forever. Being with her every day and watching her grow is amazing. Monday I go back to work. Although I am excited to be back at school, I will miss my baby girl so much. Neither of us (Carly or I) are going to handle it well so keep us in your prayers! Thank you Lord for this beautiful healthy baby girl!

Fun Friday

Carly's 2nd Month

Well what have we been up to? we've had a very busy month and things are finally slowing down! Carly has helped Mommy set up her classroom. We spent 2 weeks unpacking boxes, decorating, and preparing for my sub. We were both worn out last weekend!! Mommy went and met her students Monday morning and then came home to spend the next three weeks spoiling Carly rotten! She has gained lots of weight! She is now 10 pounds and 13 ounces. We bought a scale so we could weigh her whenever we want! Here are some of the fun things we have done lately....

• Carly loves to sleep with Mommy (its the only way she will sleep). I know it is not the best thing but for right now- we're going to enjoy it. Over the next few weeks I am going to try to get her used to her bed so we can put her in it at night. Lots of people have told me to put her in it and let her cry it out....... but the problem with that is she is a drama queen- she holds her breath and then starts throwing up. It's too much for Mommy to handle right now!
• 
• Carly likes anything with lights. She will stare for ever at the lights in our house. She loves the lights at G-Daddys and G-Mommas on the porch (white christmas lights) and she is fascinated with the TV.

• Daddy took her to her first birthday party- her cousin Taylen's swim party.

• She LOVES to be outside!! I know it is SUPER hot outside, but the minute I take her outside she is peaceful. Now that it is cooling off a little bit we are going to try to go out more.
• We took her on her first walk. She just looked all around!!

She has figured out how to throw a fit for attention! The minute you pick her up she is fine. She likes to scream for no reason other than to hear herself. Afterwards- she laughs!

Happy One Month to CARLY

1 Month

My sweet girl, where does the time go? You melt my heart every single day. You truly are the most amazing thing I have ever done. I have dreamed about you for so long and you made all of my dreams come true.

What have we been up to your first month?

• G-Momma came home with us for the first five days. She helped so much and we are so lucky to have her.
• Your brother scratched your head on accident. Daddy was really MAD, but Momma assured him it was an accident.
• You had your pictures made when you were a week old. You were a DOLL and the pictures are priceless.
• You went on your first trip to the mall and slept the whole time.
• You went to the doctor- twice.
• You pooped all over G-Momma and threw up all over Mommy :)
• We spent two nights at G-Momma and G-Daddy's when our air went out.
• You went on your first road trip. We went to the PTA convention in Austin with G-Momma and G-Daddy and you were a hit!
• You went on your first shopping trip on Harry Hines with Mommy and her friends.
• You are SPOILED to your Mommy :) You want to be held most of the time and you only sleep when I am holding you.

You've had lots of visitors and everyone agrees- you are a sweet baby! You finally can wear 0-3 month clothes. You HATE socks and anything on your feet. People always tell Mommy to put socks on you and I just laugh!
