Christmas Part 2

Even though our baby won't be born until this summer, he or she got some goodies this Christmas!

Grandpa & Grandma Carter got the baby this cute outfit! The close-up shows the words. So precious!

Granny & G-Daddy got the baby these two cute outfits. Mom was not pleased with the gender neutral selections- she thinks both outfits look like boy outfits, but I think they are cute for both!

Auntie D, Jacob & Austin got the baby its first pair of Jordan's. Actually in black and white!

And Daddy got some pretty cool stuff from the baby!

Christmas Part 1- Jackson's Christmas

I should have posted my videos and pics before going back to work and while all our Christmas memories were fresh in my head, but I didn't so guess I will make it short and sweet. David, Jackson, the baby and I had a wonderful Christmas! David got me the flip video camcorder I have been wanting so here is one of the videos we took on Christmas.

This first one shows Jackson checking out his new Christmas stuff.

Week 11

Well I went to the doctor today and David and my Mom went with me. It was the first time to take anyone with me so I was pretty excited for someone else to see the baby in action and not just a still photo. We had to wait an hour-and-a half and everyone was grumpy. But it was worth it when we saw the baby on the monitor. It has grown so much and looks like a baby now! Everyone that has seen the picture makes a comment about the head- my doctor jokingly said it will have a big brain and be smart! David told the doctor that the baby was a boy and she thanked him for sharing his "expert opinion." Everything with the baby looked great!

She also said that my cyst has shrunk a lot and that is a good sign. But my blood pressure was high today. Things have been a little stressful the past few days and we had a flat on the way to the doctor so I am hoping that is why. Because of the blood pressure I have to go back in two weeks instead of four. I am going to take it super easy and hopefully everything will be okay when I go back.

Week 10

Wow where has the time gone? It has been a month since we found out we were expecting. I am now ten weeks. I read today that our baby officially graduated from an embryo to a fetus. I go back to the doctor next Monday and hopefully David will finally get to see the baby! The morning "all-day" sickness is getting better. I think I have finally figured out what I need to do to avoid it. I still feel pretty yucky at times throughout the day but am not getting sick. I am getting some of my energy back but am still going to bed quite early. In fact, I am up way too late tonight!

Your baby is still so tiny that he has plenty of room to move and groove in your warm, protective amniotic fluid. He's now approaching 2 inches in length. If you could see him, you'd be pleased to note that his body is more in proportion; his head doesn't seem as large in comparison to the rest of him. You'd see that his ankles and wrists have formed, and his fingers and toes are now visible too.

My clothes are fitting a little tighter and my bump is starting to grow (a little more than I expected at this point). Every day David makes a comment that it is bigger than the day before. I keep telling him he is going to be amazed at how big it will get. I don't think he knows what to expect. Some men!

Please excuse my blog!

So I am trying to redo the look of our blog and am completely frustrated and walking away! I can't get my program to work on my new computer so maybe I will mess with it over the weekend. Until then, excuse the mess!
