7 Months!

Here is what she is up to.....
  • Carly is now eating level two foods. She LOVES to eat! If you are eating near her she opens her mouth and grunts. She also opens her mouth for a drink :)
  • She is doing the army crawl! She scoots around pretty good. She gets up on her knees and just when I think she is going to take off- she belly flops and scoots on her tummy.
  • She has discovered her toes! And wouldnt you know she puts them in her mouth :)
  • She LOVES to talk like her Mommy. If you are talking and not paying attention to her- she gets louder and louder until you acknowledge her.
  • She has made a few sounds that I think may be words. She says "da da da da" and then once I asked her if she wanted a bottle and she said "ba ba ba."
  • She throws all of her toys down and waits for someone to pick them up. If we don't- she cries until we do. Man she has us figured out!
  • She is teething still but no teeth.
  • She has taken a real interest in her brother Jackson- when he comes near her she gets really excited and kicks and squeals. When I let her kiss him she laughs out loud. Poor Jackson is not so crazy about her.
  • Carly is very nosey. She will break her neck to see what is going on around her.
  • She is also very expressive. She makes the funniest faces with her eyebrows and several strangers have said this to me in public.
  • She has started to wave. Really it is more of a beauty queen wave with her arm straight out, but it is a wave!
  • Carly now does this thing where she hides her face when people talk to her. She tries to act shy but she really is not.
  • I hate to brag but she really is such a good baby. She hardly ever cries unless she is hungry or sleepy. I take her lots of places and people will comment on how good she is. It almost makes me afraid to ever have another baby!

Carly went to her six month checkup a little late. She went at seven months :(

Here are her stats:

Height: 27 1/4 (75%)

Weight: 16 lbs 8 oz (45%)

Head: 45.7 (97%)

SNOW

The last time it snowed I was bedridden with my back so I did not get to take Carly out and take her picture. So this week I was determined to get some photos of her in the snow. She was not too sure about it at first, but once she stuck her fingers in it she started to giggle and smile. Plus my sister's dog kept running around her so she was pretty over stimulated!

Right after she stuck her hand down in the snow

I made her a snowball but she would not hold on to it!

6 Months

I'm still behind! Carly turned 7 months old last Wednesday and I am now doing her six month blog!

What's Carly up to?
-She is rolling everywhere!
- She weighs almost 16 pounds now
- We have not measured her length in a while but all her pants are high-waters so I assume she is going to be tall for her age.
- She has met her first love- ELMO! I know I have talked about Elmo before, but she really has taken interest in him. We watch Elmo on Mommy's phone and she laughs out loud when he comes on.
- She is making lots of noise! She has found her inner scream and finds it funny when everyone stops and stares.
- She is a fabulous eater! Anything we feed her she likes.
- She is just having formula now. With all of the medicine I am on for my back I just did not think it was safe to keep nursing her. She took right to the formula and has had no problem transitioning.
- She loves playing in her saucer. I can actually get some stuff done now :) My parents got a walker but her legs are not quite long enough to reach yet.
- She goes to be around 10 each night and wakes up now every night around 3 am. The doctor says not to feed her but it is a hungry cry and as soon as I feed her she goes straight back to sleep.
-She loves going to Honey's house (her sitter). It makes me happy that she is happy while she is there but I still LOVE picking her up and seeing her get excited to see me.
- With my back problems, Carly has had to get used to other people holding/caring for her. Momma can't do a whole lot anymore :(

Carly is such a healthy happy baby and we are blessed beyond measure!
