Life is too  short to wake up with regrets.
So  love the people who treat you right.
Love  the ones who don't just because you can.
Believe  everything happens for a reason.
If  you get a second chance, grab it with both  hands.
If  it changes your life, let it.
Kiss  slowly. Forgive  quickly.
God  never said life would be easy.
He  just promised it would be worth  it

Change

I was looking through some of the pictures on my work computer yesterday and came across some older pictures of David and I. We have been together for ten years now and I am truly amazed at how we have changed.

I need a vacation

 David and I have not
had a vacation since we have been married. Every Summer there is a different reason why we cant go. I REALLY need a vacation!! My parents are planning their vacation right now but we cant go with them because I will be teaching Summer School.  So I have decided that I am planning SOMETHING for us to do after the first week in July when I am done teaching Summer School.
Here are some pics of us on our last vacation forever ago!

Faith

Our counselor at school gave me one of those flip calendars for Teachers Appreciation Week that was called Words of wisdom from Mary Kay Ash. As I was looking through the pages for this week I came across tomorrow's entry titled "Faith".

I sincerely believe that faith is an important part in anything we undertake. We can indeed do great things when we believe. Everyone has obstacles to overcome, but those with great faith can conquer whatever stands in the way.

Mother's Day Part 2

My mom is a neverending song in my heart of comfort, happiness, and being.  I may sometimes forget the words but I always remember the tune.  ~Graycie Harmon

Yesterday I spent the whole day with my Momma and my Dad. We literally ran errands the whole day! We started at Walmart buying the necessary "junk" you have to get there. From there we went to Sam's because Mom wanted some capris and bermudas she had seen there.  We both stocked up on lots of summer goodies! Then we went to Kohls to pick up a gift for Granny and then headed to her house for a visit. While there I helped her install a new printer and pick out a new mouse (she still has one with a ball in it).

When we left we headed to Rockwall to spend Dad's gift cards from his birthday. We went to Dick's and Bass Pro.  Had a good time helping Dad spend his money! Ha! Then we went and ate at the Cotton Patch. I enjoyed spending the day with the parents.

As I shopped that day at each stores I saw lots of Mommas and their kids or lots of Daddy's babysitting so mom got the day off and it really made me realize how I want a family. I know the Lord has a plan for me, but I hope his plan includes me being a Mother one day soon. My patience is wearing thin.

 M-O-T-H-E-R
"M" is for the million things she gave me,
"O" means only that she's growing old,
"T" is for the tears she shed to save me,
"H" is for her heart of purest gold;
"E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
"R" means right, and right she'll always be,
Put them all together, they spell "MOTHER,"
A word that means the world to me. --Howard Johnson (c. 1915)

Happy Mother's Day (Saturday)

Woo! What a weekend! Our Mother's Day weekend started off on Saturday. We had plans to go to David's grandma's house, but David was sick all weekend and I had the  privilege  of driving around town trying to find a tire for my car! We chose that car because we liked the wheels and the sporty look of it. If we had only known the price of those "high performance" tires! One of our tires had  a "bubble" and after a small confrontation with Ford (David - not me! ) we were told it was our fault not theirs! We had to special order the tire from Goodyear, but after two weeks we asked for our money back because they still had not gotten the tire in. I finally found it at Sam's for about $50 cheaper so I guess it all worked out. Now we will just have to wait and see if it comes in in three to five days!

Saturday night  I went to eat with my mom and dad to celebrate with my Nana and my Dad's sisters. We went to Dos Charros which is SOOOOOO good! I had a peach margarita which was yummy! Here are some pics of all of at dinner.

Teacher Appreciation Week

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! It is probably one of my favorite weeks of the year because people actually take the time to recognize the value of teachers. My kids have been really sweet making me cards and letters. Yesterday I got a bag full of goodies including stickers, stickies, and some cool stuff for my car. I also got a route 44 sweet tea from Sonic because they all know how much I LOVE my sweet tea :)

Today I got tulips from one student and put them on my desk. I have to say- this is one of the best gifts because it is the very FIRST time I have ever had real flowers on my desk. Hint Hint Husband!

I also got this really cute bag full of great stuff like stickies, hilighters, and CANDY!!

Monday we were served breakfast, Tuesday our cafeteria catered us lunch, today the office catered us Babe's chicken, and tomorrow I get an hour long lunch catered by the PTA. I also have gotten many sweet treats in my box from the office.

All of these things are truly appreciated and make me feel like I am worthwhile to some people.

Crushed

Last week was a busy week at school being that we tested all week. The kids did an awesome job and we celebrated today! Despite all of the craziness I was concerned about one of my students who had been out all week. On Thursday I found out his dad had passed away. I cant imagine the pain he is going through and the struggle that a ten year old boy goes through as he tries to deal with his emotions. I am very thankful to have both of my parents in my life and have been reminded not to take anything for granted. Each day is a gift. If you read this please pray for my student and his family as I know they need all they can get at this moment.
